Our trip to Cuba in January, 2003
A few snaps:

Cuba is a great place. This country is misunderstood with so many misconceptions. After doing some research I soon realized that they are a very strong people with a unique political system that has infused them with a "survivor" mentality. They are easy going, very polite, never pushy, hardworking and humanitarian....ooh, and they LOVE MUSIC.

Lots of old cars from before the revolution

Old fountain in Old Havana and old building. There are endless old spanish built buildings in Havana. I asked myself "where did they get all that cement"? I know it sounds silly but you have to see it all to appreciate it. More scenes from Havana:

The place where Hemingway lived for 20 years.

We really enjoyed Cuba and would go back. The food is not as good as other countries we've been to, but the music, the people, the beaches, the place itself more than made up for it. We felt very safe in Cuba, even in downtown Havana. By the way, the illiteracy rate in Cuba is 0%.
